Good food but takes to long to get and it's Cash only.

Great food and Great view!!

We visited here after visiting Ron Coleman Crystal Mines. We were filthy nasty, hot, tired and starving. Everyone was so nice and friendly despite our filthiness😉 We had burgers and clubs and they were 😋 delicious.

The best Club Sandwich that I have ever had.

Stop here if you are in the area but bring cash. They don't accept cards. Mom and pop atmosphere and really good food. I had a burger and sweet potatoes fries. The burger was delicious, the ingredients were fresh and the meat high quality. They have a lot of options for any taste buds. Deserts are a plenty as well.

Great place to eat right off the road. The burgers and fries were excellent and we got ice cream cones for the kids. You order at the window and wait for your name to be called. There are some outdoor tables to sit at, or you can take it to go. This place reminded me of a small town burger place I frequented when I was a kid, down to the mustard and onions on the cheeseburgers.

The best, freshest, salads around. Veggies are crisp and tasty served with homemade dressing. Have good hamburgers, catfish and bbq pork. Milk shakes are delicious with several flavors. Tuesday's special is spaghetti and salad. Very good..

Hard to beat a great burger, fries and a shake. Best food within 100 miles

Honestly not that impressive. They make a decent sandwich, but it's nothing to rave on and on about. Better than McDonald's, but not really much better than Wendy's if at all. It is closer than a Wendy's, though, so worth going to. Just don't expect too much.

We had heard a lot about these burgers but were not overly impressed. I looked forward to the hush puppies but they were too spicy hot. I had to throw them away. After trying just one bite my mouth was on fire. My strawberry shake tasted like it was made with strawberry preserves instead of real strawberries and syrup. I didn't care for it at all. The onion rings were good but very greasy. The people were friendly and helpful.

Always good place to eat while taking a little trip that way. Great food and love the outdoor seating.

Awesome shakes and malts. Haven't tried their food but I bet it is wonderful it's always packed and the wait was 45 minutes I had to be on my way maybe next time though, it looks delicious.very friendly staff. They offer walk -up window for those to go or eat outside orders as well as a dine-in.

One can not taste anything over the grease. I had to go back to the hotel and wash my clothes, take a shower and brush my teeth and I could still taste/smell nothing but grease the rest of the day. Only reason I gave it two stars was because the staff was the best in any business I have encountered. I had to go find a bank to get cash because they do not accept anything but cash. I found that a little peculiar.🤔

Just enjoyed my first visit. The Patty melt and onion rings we're outstanding, as was the service. Be aware, however, they don't accept credit cards or debit cards.

My husband and I ate smoked brisket sandwiches which was the daily special today. It was one of the best BBQ sandwiches I have ever eaten. My husband and I both hope they start offering this sandwich on a daily basis or maybe at least on Saturdays.

The Shack has been a landmark of my childhood. Their food is a classic example of a southern diner. My family and I have never had a bad meal or service. Popular food items are their burgers, onion rings, Cajun fries, Frito pies, cat fish, chicken fried steak, shakes, and ice cream cones.

What a little gem of a place!! Opened in 1972 (from what I overheard). Look at these milkshakes flavors. The Blueberry was delicious!! The burgers were just right. The cajun fries were delicious, and the onion rings were SO crunchy and delicious! We'll be coming here every time we're back down here near The Village.

5 star not just one time but evertime I drive 40 miles one way just to get supper here love you Bill and Glenda

When we come to crystal dig The Shack is the best home cooked food to eat when you are tired after a day of digging. The staff is friendly and so courteous. It is a place where families from Jessiville come and enjoy each others companionship or drop by to pick up delicious ice cream or pie. Their chicken fried chicken, fried okra and mashed potatoes and gravy is so so down home delicious!

I had a nice lunch at the shack. A great patty melt and fried green beans. Fried green beans! When was the last time you had that? Anyway fast service good food just make sure you have cash!

Always a go-to favorite!! Fried mushrooms appetizer with homemade ranch dressing ⭐ I enjoyed the grilled chicken breast w green beans, coleslaw. My friend had hot ham sandwich witg a chocolate malt 🥤 Both meals were great! We will always be back to the Shack!!!

Quaint little food stop with a good range of freshly cooked and prepared foods.I had the catfish plate with fries, hush puppies and coleslaw. I really enjoyed my meal , although the coleslaw didn't have any mayonnaise and was very dry.Their shakes were delicious, the Peanut Butter one superb.

Small local burger place. We had shakes, burgers and onion rings. Shakes were very thick and had good flavor. The burgers tasted like those you got when we were kids. Onion rings were very good. Service was very friendly and we were checked on several times to make sure things were okay.

Great burger and onion rings. Good customer service. My son liked their corn dog too. We got some fried pies to go but haven't eaten them yet. Definitely recommend if you're over in this area. We're visiting Hot Springs Village this week from DFW.

Reminds me of King Cone in Hot Springs. Excellent burger, but for $12 for that and fries, long wait, rude staff, not worth it. And I go out of my way to frequent locally owned places like this. Don't expect special treatment, but if you act like you don't care whether you get my business or not, you're not going to.

Wonderful food & the Best malts & shakes!! So thick my straw collapsed!! Had to use the spoon!❤ Awesome employees, clean & enjoyable atmosphere with outdoor seating as well.

Love this place... food is always very good..

Food was your typical side-of-the-road type of quality, that is to say, nothing to write home about. While the staff was friendly (mostly), the speed of service was glacial. Wouldn't go back.
